Founded under the leadership of Kalvakuntla Kavitha on 25 April 2026, the Telangana Rakshana Sena has adopted a distinctive three-colour flag featuring yellow, green and blue. Each colour carries a specific meaning and reflects an important aspect of the party’s vision, values and commitment to the people of Telangana.
The flag consists of 80 per cent yellow in the upper portion and 20 per cent green in the lower portion. At the centre of the yellow field is a blue map of Telangana, symbolising the state and its people. Together, these colours represent the social, cultural, economic and environmental aspirations that underpin the Telangana Rakshana Sena’s political vision.
Together, yellow, green and blue represent three interconnected aspirations: prosperity and cultural pride, nature and agriculture, and social justice and equality.
The Telangana Rakshana Sena flag is therefore not merely an organisational symbol. Its colours seek to reflect a broader vision of Telangana: a state that is prosperous yet rooted in its culture, developed yet protective of nature, and progressive while ensuring dignity, justice and equal opportunity for all.
Former MP and former MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha founded the Telangana Rakshana Sena party on 25 April 2026, with the main aim of shaping the state according to the aspirations of Telangana's martyrs. Providing free education and healthcare to all, and improving job and employment opportunities for the youth, are among the party's most important goals. Giving due respect to the farmer who is the backbone of the country, and achieving a Telangana without social inequalities, is the party's principal aim.
Telangana-ism is the core ideology of the TRS party. The interests of Telangana come first. The party is ready at all times for a direct fight against forces that harm Telangana. If the Union Government acts in a way that damages the interests of the state, the party will not hesitate to revolt against it either. The aim is to fulfil the aspirations that were the foundation of the statehood movement.
Party chief Kalvakuntla Kavitha announced a special activity named Panchajanyam in the formation meeting of TRS party for comprehensive development of Telangana and removal of economic and political disparities in the state.
Telangana is a region bound up with thousands of years of culture. Its festivals, customs, celebrations, food, dress, literature and way of life are different from those of other regions. The TRS party has taken on the responsibility of preserving the culture here, which was damaged at the hands of colonial rulers. The aim is to protect this culture and pass the distinctiveness of this region on to future generations.

Telangana is more than a geographical entity. It is a land shaped by generations of struggles, aspirations and an enduring spirit of self-respect. Its identity has been built through the hard work of farmers, workers and labourers, the dreams and aspirations of students and youth, the courage and resilience of women, the struggles of marginalised communities, and the collective determination of its people.
This legacy is not merely a part of our history; it is a responsibility towards our future. The Telangana Rakshana Sena seeks to carry forward the spirit of these struggles by building a Telangana where every citizen can live with dignity, equality, security and opportunity, and where development reaches every section and every region of the state.
Our responsibility is not merely to preserve the memory of Telangana’s history and struggles, but to carry their spirit, values and aspirations forward in shaping the Telangana of tomorrow. The sacrifices and struggles of the past must serve as a foundation for building a future rooted in dignity, justice, equality and opportunity for all.
For us, development is not defined merely by tall buildings, glass structures, highways or industries. True development is measured by the quality of life and dignity enjoyed by ordinary people. It means a poor family can live with security and without fear; a student can pursue education with confidence in a better future; a farmer can receive a fair and remunerative price for the produce they work hard to cultivate; a young person can find meaningful employment without having to depend on political connections or influence; and every woman can exercise the freedom and authority to make decisions about her own life. That is the true measure of development.
We are committed to building a Telangana where no individual or community is left behind because of caste, religion, gender, economic circumstances or social background, and where every citizen has an equal opportunity to live with dignity, participate in society and realise their aspirations.
A democratically elected government must remain accountable to the people from whom it derives its authority. Power is not a personal possession or a permanent entitlement; it is a public trust and a responsibility entrusted by the people. Those entrusted with public office must therefore remain responsive to the people's concerns, answerable to their questions and committed to serving the public interest.
We seek to make accountability, transparency, public participation and responsible use of power the fundamental principles of our political culture.
For the Telangana Rakshana Sena, politics is not confined to elections, electoral campaigns or the pursuit of political office. Politics, in its true sense, is a continuous responsibility towards the people and the issues that shape their lives.
We believe that every issue affecting the dignity, rights, livelihoods, opportunities and well-being of the people deserves public attention and political action. Our approach is rooted in listening to the people, understanding their concerns, identifying practical solutions and pursuing them with determination.
Wherever people face injustice, neglect or genuine hardship, we seek to stand with them, raise their concerns and work towards meaningful solutions. Where necessary, we will continue to engage, advocate and struggle alongside the people until their legitimate concerns are addressed and the required solutions are implemented.
Our mission is therefore not simply to seek power, but to use public and political action as an instrument for social justice, accountable governance, equal opportunity and meaningful change in the lives of the people of Telangana.
We firmly believe that social justice must be the foundation of our political journey and the guiding principle of our commitment to an equitable society.
Every citizen, particularly Dalits, Adivasis, Backward Classes, minorities, workers, economically disadvantaged communities, women, persons with disabilities, transgender persons, youth and other communities that have historically faced social, economic or political marginalisation, must have equal access to rights, opportunities, dignity and representation. No individual or community should be compelled to repeatedly struggle for rights and opportunities that are guaranteed to them.
Our commitment is to build a society in which discrimination, exclusion, deprivation and inequality are progressively eliminated, and every person has the opportunity to live with dignity, security, self-respect and equal opportunity.
Equality must not remain merely a constitutional principle or an aspiration on paper. It must be reflected in the realities of everyday life: in access to quality education, employment and livelihoods, public services, economic opportunities, governance and political representation.
For us, social justice means ensuring that every section of society has a meaningful stake in Telangana’s development and an equal voice in shaping its future.
Self-respect is not merely a slogan. It is an expression of our identity, dignity and collective consciousness, reflected in our language, dialect, culture, history, traditions, villages, festivals, songs and the way of life of our people.
We aspire to build a Telangana where our dialects are respected rather than ridiculed, our history is remembered and preserved rather than forgotten, and our cultural heritage is protected and celebrated while embracing modernity, innovation and progress.
Our cultural identity and heritage should not be confined to commemorations or political rhetoric. The pride, values and distinct identity of Telangana must find meaningful expression in our governance, public policies, education, cultural institutions and development priorities.
We seek a Telangana that remains firmly rooted in its history and cultural heritage while looking confidently towards the future, preserving what defines us, embracing what advances us, and ensuring that progress never comes at the cost of our identity and self-respect.
We believe that the youth of Telangana must not be viewed merely as an electoral constituency or a source of political participation. They are the driving force of Telangana’s present and the architects of its future. Young people must have a meaningful voice and an active role in shaping the decisions that determine the future of the state.
Our commitment is to create an ecosystem in which every young person has access to quality education, relevant skills, dignified employment, entrepreneurship, research, technology, innovation, industry and opportunities for meaningful participation in public life.
No talented young person should be compelled to leave Telangana simply because adequate opportunities are unavailable at home. Telangana must create an environment where young people can pursue their aspirations, build careers, establish enterprises and shape their futures within the state.
We seek to harness the potential of Telangana’s youth not merely for electoral or political purposes, but by making them active partners in governance, policy-making, innovation and public life. Their ideas, aspirations and perspectives must have a meaningful place in shaping the Telangana of tomorrow.
An empowered youth is not merely the beneficiary of development; they are a partner in creating it.
The farmer of Telangana is not merely a beneficiary of welfare schemes or government support. The farmer is the backbone of the state’s economy, food security and rural society. Strengthening agriculture therefore means strengthening the economic foundations of Telangana itself.
Helping farmers overcome debt is important, but it cannot be the ultimate objective. Our commitment is to create an agricultural system in which farmers can earn a stable and dignified livelihood, achieve economic security and prosper through their own hard work.
Reliable irrigation, fair and remunerative prices, assured market access, effective crop insurance, scientific storage and processing facilities, modern agricultural technology, affordable inputs and agro-based industries must work together to strengthen the economic position of farming families.
A farmer who has worked hard to produce a crop should not be left searching for a market or forced to sell at distress prices. Agricultural policy must provide greater income security, market stability and economic dignity to farmers, while creating opportunities for value addition, diversification and sustainable growth in the agricultural sector.
We believe Telangana must move towards an agricultural economy where farmers are not merely recipients of support, but empowered economic partners in the state’s growth and development.
Women’s empowerment cannot be measured merely by the absence of violence or the provision of safety and security. True empowerment means ensuring that every woman has the freedom, opportunity and agency to shape her own life and participate equally in society.
Every woman must have access to quality education, dignified employment, economic opportunities, financial independence and the right to own and inherit property, along with the freedom to make informed decisions about her own life, family and future. Women must also have equal opportunities to participate in public life, governance and political leadership.
Women must not be viewed merely as beneficiaries of welfare programmes. They must be recognised as equal citizens, decision-makers and active partners in the family, economy, society and political system. Their voices, aspirations and perspectives must have a meaningful place in shaping the future of Telangana.
Providing opportunities alone is not enough. Women must have the equal right and ability to access, exercise and benefit from those opportunities, free from discrimination, exclusion and social barriers.
Our commitment is to build a Telangana where every woman can learn, work, earn, own, decide, lead and live with dignity and self-respect.
Government exists to serve the people. A government office should never be a place that intimidates, discourages or alienates citizens; it should be a place where people are treated with dignity, their concerns are heard and public services are delivered efficiently and fairly.
Every institution, department and system operated with public resources must remain transparent and accountable to the people. Public office is a responsibility entrusted by citizens, and every person holding such office must remain answerable for decisions taken, resources used and services delivered.
We are committed to a culture of governance rooted in transparency, integrity, accountability and public participation, with strong institutional safeguards against corruption, abuse of authority, arbitrary decision-making and the misuse of public institutions for political or personal interests.
Governance must be guided by clear procedures, timely delivery of services, access to information and respect for the rights of citizens. Public institutions must work for the public interest, not for the convenience or interests of those in positions of authority.
Democracy does not begin and end with voting once every five years. Citizens have the right to ask questions, seek information, express their concerns and participate meaningfully in decisions that affect their lives and communities.
Our commitment is to promote a governance system in which power is exercised responsibly, decisions are made transparently, institutions remain accountable and citizens are treated as participants in governance rather than mere recipients of government services.
The development of Telangana must not be concentrated around Hyderabad alone. A truly developed Telangana is one in which every region has the opportunity to grow, prosper and participate in the state’s economic and social progress.
Development opportunities and public investment must reach every district, every constituency, every mandal and every village, with due attention to the specific needs, potential and priorities of each region.
Telangana’s development can acquire its true meaning only when people in rural and underserved areas have access to quality education, reliable healthcare, good roads, safe drinking water, employment opportunities, industries, digital connectivity and essential infrastructure close to where they live.
Balanced regional development must also create local opportunities for livelihoods, investment, entrepreneurship and economic growth, reducing the need for people to migrate solely in search of basic opportunities and services.
Development must not be a privilege concentrated in a few cities or regions. It must become an equitable opportunity and a tangible right for every region, every community and every family in Telangana.
Our commitment is to build a Telangana where geography does not determine opportunity, and where every part of the state has a meaningful stake in its development and future.
Development must never become a justification for destroying the very natural resources on which human life and economic prosperity depend. The loss of rivers, lakes, forests, fertile agricultural land and ecological systems in the name of growth cannot be called progress. True development must create prosperity while protecting the natural foundations that sustain it.
Nature is not an inheritance that belongs exclusively to the present generation. We have received Telangana’s rivers, forests, lakes, land and natural wealth from generations before us, and we hold them in trust for generations yet to come. Future generations have an equal right to clean air, safe water, fertile land, healthy forests and a secure environment. Our development choices today must therefore be guided not only by immediate needs, but also by our responsibility to those who will inherit Telangana tomorrow.
Telangana needs a new development vision: one that does not place economic growth and environmental protection in opposition, but brings them together as essential pillars of sustainable progress. Water resources must be protected and restored. Forests and biodiversity must be conserved. Agricultural land must be safeguarded. Natural resources must be used responsibly. At the same time, Telangana must create productive employment, sustainable livelihoods, new industries and economic opportunities for its people.
We believe that prosperity and environmental responsibility must advance together. Development must strengthen communities without destroying their natural foundations; create jobs without exhausting natural resources; and build cities, industries and infrastructure without compromising the ecological security of future generations.
Our goal is to build a Telangana that is economically strong, environmentally secure and resilient for generations to come: a Telangana where progress does not come at the cost of nature, but where the protection of nature becomes an essential part of progress itself.
We must not merely inherit a better Telangana; we must have the wisdom and responsibility to leave a better Telangana for those who come after us.
For us, politics is not a pursuit of positions or power. It is a public responsibility: an opportunity and an obligation to bring meaningful, lasting change to the lives of the people.
What matters is not merely who holds power, but how power is exercised, whose interests it serves, and whether it improves the lives of ordinary citizens. Public office must be understood as a trust placed in the hands of those entrusted with authority, and that trust must always be exercised with integrity, accountability and a commitment to the public good.
Leadership does not mean standing ahead of the people. It means standing beside them in times of difficulty, listening when they are unheard, raising their concerns when their voices are ignored, and walking with them until their legitimate problems are addressed. Leadership must be measured not by distance from the people, but by the responsibility one accepts towards them.
Our aspiration is not merely to build a Telangana that is economically developed. It is to build a Telangana where every citizen can live with dignity, security, equality and self-respect; where every family has opportunity, every young person has hope, every farmer has economic dignity, every woman has freedom and agency, and every community has a meaningful place in the state’s future.
Justice must never become the privilege of those with influence, wealth or access. Justice must be accessible, equal and meaningful for every citizen.
Opportunities must not depend on political connections, personal influence or privilege. They must be governed by merit, eligibility, transparency and fair access, ensuring that every capable citizen has a genuine opportunity to learn, work, progress and prosper.
Governance must not be shaped merely by the priorities of those who occupy positions of authority. It must be shaped by the needs, aspirations and lived realities of the people. Institutions must listen to citizens, respond to their concerns and remain accountable for the decisions they make and the resources they administer.
Politics must never become an instrument for dividing society. It must become a means of bringing people together around the issues that affect their lives, livelihoods, dignity and future. Our politics must strengthen social harmony, democratic participation and the collective spirit of Telangana.
This is not merely the objective of a political organisation.
It is a responsibility towards the future of Telangana.
Drawing strength and inspiration from the struggles, sacrifices and aspirations through which Telangana was shaped, the Telangana Rakshana Sena is committed to carrying that legacy forward, not merely by remembering the past, but by building a future worthy of it.
